After Everything – now in cinemas

The last chapter of the After saga awaits you at the cinema this weekend!

The film, directed by Castille Landon, will premiere on September 15 in Romanian cinemas.

After Everything, the fifth and final installment of the worldwide phenomena, finds Tessa and Hardin living separate lives after Hardin published his revealing book without her knowledge.

Alone in England, Hardin retreats into drinking and other harmful habits. To make things worse, he’s suffering from writer’s block and may have to return his sizable advance if he doesn’t finish a new manuscript soon.

Rather than give in to his demons, Hardin starts to realize that the only way to move forward – and have any chance of winning back Tessa – is to right wrongs from his past. He travels to Portugal to visit Natalie, a woman he once treated terribly. By spending time with Natalie and realizing she has moved on, Hardin is finally able to forgive himself and envision a bright future with the woman he loves.

Meanwhile, back in the States, Landon and Nora prepare for their upcoming wedding – where Tessa and Hardin will be in attendance. Can the couple who have been through it all forgive each other and make the ultimate commitment?

Written and directed by Castille Landon and based on characters from the best-selling book series by Anna Todd, AFTER EVERYTHING concludes the hit franchise series starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Josephine Langford, Mimi Keene, Benjamin Mascolo, Louise Lombard and Stephen Moyer.

Prorom and Ro Image 2000 will release After Everything in Romania on September, 15.

Prorom will release After Everything on September, 15 also in Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Liam Neeson in Retribution – in cinemas this weekend!

Liam Neeson is back in cinemas with a new action thriller: Retribution!

Neeson is a bank executive who must find a way to save his and his children’s lives after discovering that someone has placed a bomb under their car. The bomb will activate if they decided to leave the car. The mysterious caller also frames him for the death of his best friend, which makes his situation more complicated.

Retribution is directed by Nimrod Antal (Vacancy, Armored, Predators) from a screenplay written by Christopher Salmanpour (based on the film El Desconocido written by Alberto Marini).

Joining Neeson are Matthew Modine (Stranger Things), Noma Dumezweni (The Little Mermaid), Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Lilly Aspell, Embeth Davidtz (Schindler’s List), and Arian Moayed (Succession).

Producers are Andrew Rona, Alex Heineman, Jaume Collet-Serra, and Juan Sola.

Presented with the challenge of leading an action movie that requires intense sequences throughout director Nimród Antal reflects “that was something that was both frightening and exciting at the same time,” Antal adds that he looked to claustrophobic thrillers like Tom Hardy’s Locke, Vincenzo Natali’s sci-fi cult classic Cube and Spanish futuristic socio-horror The Platform for inspiration in how to shoot suspenseful sequences with unique compositions in confined spaces.

The resulting film, Antal says, should feel at once familiar and fresh. “We wanted this movie to add to the library of action films that Liam has made, but also to bring something new to them, something the viewers hadn’t seen. Liam has always been a man with that certain set of skills but in this film, he’s just an everyday guy trying to keep his family alive.” A task made ever harder as the caller’s demands increase in their deadly difficulty and the tension on the Turner family ratchets up and up.

Prorom will release the movie in Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria on August, 25.

Robert De Niro in the comedy About My Father – now in cinemas!

This weekend, Robert De Niro returns to cinemas with the comedy About My Father, directed by Laura Terruso.

The hottest comic in America, Sebastian Maniscalco joins forces with legendary Italian-American and two-time Oscar® winner, Robert De Niro (Best Actor, Raging Bull, 1980), in the new comedy About My Father.

The film centers around Sebastian (Maniscalco) who is encouraged by his fiancée (Leslie Bibb) to bring his immigrant, hairdresser father, Salvo (De Niro), to a weekend get-together with her super-rich and exceedingly eccentric family (Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, David Rasche).

According to About My Father star and co-screenwriter, Sebastian Maniscalco, “the film is about two different families, from very different socioeconomic backgrounds, colliding during a holiday weekend, before they realize that those differences are what make them unique.”

Maniscalco, a celebrated stand-up comedian, adds that his onscreen persona “is trying to walk a tightrope with his father in bringing him into an environment that is unfamiliar to him.”

When asked about the script, De Niro says, “I saw that it had a personal element from Sebastian's experience, obviously. And, after getting to know Laura Terruso a little bit, I realized her background too. They [Sebastian and Laura] knew the world. They're from the world. So that was an important part of it [the story],” says De Niro.

Early on, De Niro, famed for his immersion in his roles, requested a special read-through of the script with a group of fellow actors. “So, we flew to New York, during the height of the pandemic, and did a table read with him,” Maniscalco describes. “We were all wearing masks, and it was a little weird, but we were glad to do it.”

It also seemed pre-destined for Laura Terruso to direct. The award-winning director, screenwriter and producer had completed a feature film for Netflix, Work It, when the script for About My Father came her way. Her reaction was immediate and unsubtle: “This script made me jump and say, ‘I must direct this movie’ because it felt so personal and universal.”

Terruso’s personal connection to the project comes from her background, which parallel’s Maniscalco’s in significant ways. As she explains, “Sebastian’s father emigrated from Sicily in the 1960s, as did my mother, and we’ve both found our way into comedy.”

Sebastian wrote the movie as a love letter to his father, and for me, it was clearly a love letter to my mother. We really bonded on that level and felt like, okay, we know who and what this is about and that guided all the decision making moving forward.”

About My Father is directed by Laura Terruso and written by Austen Earl & Sebastian Maniscalco.

Prorom will release About My Father this weekend in: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and in June in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
