Hot on the heels of the theatrical release of After We Collided, the #1 independent film worldwide, production on the two highly anticipated sequels has commenced on location in Eastern Europe, it was announced today by producers.

Castille Landon (Fear of Rain) is directing both films, starring returning leads Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

Stephen Moyer (True Blood) has been cast as Christian Vance, Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion) as Carol, Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Landon, Arielle Kebbel (John Tucker Must Die) as Kimberly and Carter Jenkins (Famous in Love) as Robert in the sequels to the New Adult romance franchise.

Frances Turner (The Man in the High Castle) as Karen and Kiana Maderia (The Flash) as Nora have also joined returning fan-favorites Louise Lombard (CSI) as Trish and Rob Estes (90210) as Ken Scott, in the new films.

The first film in the series, After, took nearly $70 million at the global box-office in 2019, with the follow up After We Collided having just surpassed $40M at the international box office since its opening on September 2nd, 2020 in select overseas territories. Further countries are set to roll out over the next few months.

Producers of After 3 and 4 (working titles) are Jennifer Gibgot (17 Again, Step Up), Brian Pitt, Wattpad’s Aron Levitz, CalMaple’s Mark Canton (Den of Thieves, 300) and Courtney Solomon (Cake, An American Haunting).

After first found success on Wattpad, the global entertainment company and world’s leading social storytelling platform, where the original story accumulated more than 1.5 billion reads, before becoming international best-selling books.

After We Collided continues to dominate the independent box office, having taken over $40M with over 5 million admissions from 32 markets that began opening from September 2nd. The sequel is currently outperforming the first film in a range of major territories, including Germany, Australia, Norway, Austria and Eastern Europe.

Open Road is releasing the film in the US on October 23rd.
